Building 8 is a new group at Facebook that brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories and advance Facebook’s mission of connecting the world. The B8 team will create breakthrough innovation at the intersection of ambitious science and an application that matters. It will operate on aggressive, fixed timelines, with extensive use of partnerships in universities, and small and large businesses. We are seeking a communications manager to lead Building 8 executive communications. The ideal candidate will have a communications or writing background and previous work that demonstrates an ability to shape a narrative and tell stories around complex and nuanced topics. This individual excels at working collaboratively with high-level executives and colleagues alike, understands the importance of tone/voice and can consistently deliver high-quality work even under severe time constraints. This position is located in Menlo Park, California.

Responsibilities

  • Lead executive communications for Building 8, with specific focus on developing strategy and content for social media channels
  • Build social communications plan inclusive of narrative and visuals, that’s measured against clearly defined objectives tracked over time
  • Partner with creative team on creation of photos, videos and other visual assets as needed
  • Collaborate with Building 8 and Facebook communications teams to ensure consistency and alignment at all levels

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience in communications, with high level of comfort in working with senior executives.
  • Experience in crafting messages for social media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Management Team, Business Leads, Managers, HR Business Partners and Recruiting to formulate and execute data driven, tailored strategies to find, grow and keep diverse talent
  • Research and analyze external talent pools, partner organizations, and events, to create customized recruitment approach by pipeline
  • Collaborate with Employee Resource Group leadership, Learning & Development and HR Business Partners to develop and execute strategies for retention, engagement and promotion of diverse talent
  • Use influence to drive engagement and accountability across partners
  • Provide relevant data, analysis and recommendations to guide decision-making related to strategic recruitment and retention efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment, talent management, project management, strategic operations or HR
  • 7+ years of related Diversity experience
  • Experience designing data-driven programs
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills

Global SMB Programs Manager

Facebook is seeking a strategic, analytical, and process/detail-oriented Sales Operations Associate who can work effectively with sales leadership to drive better business decisions. The role partners deeply with Small & Medium Business sales organization with a focus on global programs. The Sales Operations Associate will also work cross-functionally with several teams at Facebook (including sales, business operations, and business intelligence). The objective of this role is to drive strategic business decisions in close partnership with SMB Sales leadership by using clear frameworks, deploying excellent communication tactics, and producing deep analyses that will be the foundation upon which the recommendations are built. These business decisions touch upon many aspects of the SMB Sales organization, including organizational design, revenue growth opportunities (including drivers like product adoption), and standard sales operations processes (e.g., book construction, goal-setting, reporting). The ideal candidate is passionate about Facebook, views the world through an analytical lens, is a clear communicator, can quickly build relationships with people of varying personality types, is interested in advertising, and is able to move fast on high-impact projects. This is a full-time position and is located in our Menlo Park, California office.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Support sales teams on medium/long-term planning including revenue potential, product focus, resourcing and org design
  • Analyze business units and market segments that are currently under-served and over-served, and develop plans to reallocate resourced accordingly
  • Operations and Analytics:
  • Project manage improvements to Sales team processes to drive higher efficiencies using a data-driven approach

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS required in Engineering, Business or related field
